The Horseshoe Dam / Sheep Bridge loop is a fairly easy 70 mile ride. Red Creek is a Difficult out and back ride featuring deep wet sand and slippery wet rocks. |

This route follows the Great Western Trail from Carefree, AZ to the I-17. Then runs the scenic Fossil Creek Road down to the decommissioned Childs Power Plant along the Verde River. | |

Starting at the OHV area known as the Mile Markers, MM 11.5, and the Boulders, we headed into the Hieroglyphic Mountains for a great big bike friendly kind of ride. Lots of gravely washes, hard packed whoops, and spectacular views define this ride. | |

Sunflower mine is a real treat. In operation mining mecury into the 1980's, there is a lot of equipment still in reasonable condition. High clearance 4x4 vehicles and big bikes with experienced off road riders will find the access road to the mine challenging. Also, the easy 201 road up to the Mazatzal Wilderness is spectacular!!! | |

The Island is a challenging ride but not overly difficult. Great views and loads of fun. There are a few hills that are a interesting climb, but they are short so it's easy to regroup. | |

If you stay off NF17, the ride is easy to moderate. NF17 is extreme, rocks, mud, hills. Make sure that your equipment is in order before attempting, or have a very good friend who flys a helicopter. | |
